RootHealth vs. Chiropractic

Introduction: The RootHealth concept is actually so close to chiropractic that they are perfect complements. Both desires results in how the body functions via posture and mechanics. However, there are 2 main differences.

Difference 1: Skeletal manipulation vs. muscular. Have you ever went to a chiropractor for like….ever?! This is common. A chiropractor’s main job is to produce a result vs. skeletal manipulation. However, the muscular system controls the skeletal system. The nervous system does not have any movement capabilities to the skeletal system other than through the muscular system. In other words, muscles move and position bones. Not the other way around!

So, manual assisted adjustment to the muscular system is paramount to the success of a program. Without this, the client’s progress will be much slower if not at all. This is what we do! We assess movement and make adjustments via addressing the muscular (and fascial) system.

Chiropractors commonly assess ‘posture’ via X-Ray and make adjustments to the skeletal system.

Difference 2: The muscular system must be ‘trained’. In order to develop, a developmental process is necessary. Commonly, chiropractors neither are trained in true strength and mobility training nor will they get paid by insurance to apply the appropriate amount of training to the client.

Therefore, a ‘restorative’ strength and mobility approach to training the muscular system is needed. We use both hands on techniques for the client and active training techniques with the client to achieve a much more superior result than with traditional chiropractic alone.
